"...As a two time breast cancer survivor, I love to participate in this event.  Ginny Salerno is a phenomenal person and year after year this event runs like a well oiled machine. The walkers, volunteers and crew are a gift from God.  This was my 3rd year participating and I wouldn’t change a thing.  Special thanks go to ALL of the WALKERS, UPS, volunteers, EMS, FD’s, SCPD, cheer stations, Suffolk & Nassau Bagpipers, food vendors - you’re all fabulous! I wish I could hug and thank every single one of you!"

With Great Love & Appreciation,

Michelle A. Salacain-Snyder,
3 & 4 year Breast Cancer Survivor

Congratulations Ginny!

Our Founder and Executive Director, Virginia "Ginny" Salerno was honored by the Long Island Business News as One of Long Island's 50 Most Influential Women of 2009. We wish to congratulate Ginny on this wonderful achievement. We also wish to congratulate all the 2009 Honorees!

Long Island Business News launched the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business awards in 2000 to recognize the important role women play in Long Island’s economy. The honorees represent the most influential women in business, government, education, and the not-for-profit fields, and are selected by a panel of business leaders based on professional accomplishment, mentoring and community involvement. Honorees receive a unique crystal memento at the elegant dinner. Women selected for this honor for a third year are retired to the Hall of Fame and a special Lifetime Achievement Honoree has been chosen since 2006.
